Glauco César Segundo
Hello! I am a Brazilian native of Caruaru, Pernambuco. I studied at the Conservatório Pernambucano de Música and graduated in Piano from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). In 2013, I moved to Portugal to pursue a Master's in Composition at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, which I completed in 2015 under the guidance of Professor Dr. António Pinho Vargas. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Composition at the University of Évora, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Christopher Bochmann.
I have taken numerous courses and masterclasses with world-renowned professors such as Eumir Deodato, Ancuza Aprodu, Maximiliano Genot, Marlos Nobre, and António Pinho Vargas, among others. Over the years, I have received several awards and recognition as both a pianist and composer.

In Brazil, I served as a professor at the Conservatório Pernambucano de Música and as an extension piano instructor at UFPE. I have released six original albums, all available on digital platforms. As a pianist, I’ve performed with various artists and groups, worked in opera, and have been teaching piano for over 20 years across Brazil, Portugal, and now worldwide through my online course.
In Portugal, I perform as an improv theater pianist with the Portuguese group "Os Instantâneos." Recently, I composed the soundtrack for the Portuguese film Canção de Embalar, an award-winning piece internationally recognized. I have also toured in both Brazil and Portugal, with my most recent tour taking me across Portugal to showcase my compositions on FNAC stages throughout the country.
